Goochland County, Virginia


A small "alpine like" seam of very well crystallized Quartz was uncovered during surface digging in November 2009. This small minature shows well developed lustrous and gemmy Smoky Quartz.

CALCITE (Twin)
Rheems Quarry
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania


A rich reddish-brown Calcite twin. The primary crystals appear to be complex rhombohedrons with scalenohedral faces. The re-entrant twin plane shows at the top of the specimen. One of the best "floaters" from this find.

Two primary rich blue terminated hexagonal prism Aquamarines are formed with much smaller rich black Schorl crystals. Collected in August 2009. These Aquamarines are much richer in color than the earlier finds.

About 12 intergrown rich red rhombohedrons are formed on the matrix of micro Sulphidus and Quartz. Each of the rhombohedrons are razor sharp with minimal contacting present around the edges of the specimen.
